The World Matchplay Darts tournament takes place at Blackpool's Winter Gardens from July 19th to 26th this year. The 2009 darts event sees Phil 'The Power' Taylor looking to defend his 2008 title and win a record breaking 10th Matchplay Darts Tour. Taylor's first match on the 20th July sees his taking on the Scot Robert Thornton. Audience favourite Raymond van Barneveld also plays this tournament, as well as 2007 winner James Wade, all looking to make the final on July 26th.
