The Irish Derby, this year running on the 28th June, is a Group 1 flat race run at the Curragh. Trainer Aidan O'Brien has won the race for the last three consecutive years, with Seamus Heffernan jockeying for the last 2. Sea of Stars, winner of the 2009 Epsom Derby, is already emerging as an early favourite for the Irish Derby with some bookings installing him as an early favourite.
